I think I'm the biggest gamer on here, I play on PC, Xbox 360, PS2 and SNES. I even took part in some Counter-Strike competitions back in the day. Never won any of the big paying competitions though Lately on PC the game Mount & Blade has been keeping me dangerously occupied. It's a mix between RPG and action and it is just all around awesome. So much to do. Just want to ride around fighting sea raiders and looters? Go for it! Want to become a vassal, gain control of castles and cities and become involved in one factions politics? Why not?! Want to basically be a mercenary and play the factions off against each other, working for the highest bidder? No problem! If you like swords and battles, I suggest you guys download it. You can play it for free up until you reach level 7, then decide if you want to buy it or not. www.taleworlds.com/

Yeah, I still play on my PS2 a little bit (mainly for Pro Evolution Soccer and Timesplitters!) but mainly I keep my gaming systems so my nephue can play on them and such. I know it's probably nostalgia, but I still think the Megadrive and Nintendo 64 play better than most modern games. I have the Timesplitters sequel, but never played it. What's it like?

Timesplitters (all of them) are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! If you take into consideration the time of its release and all the capabilities it is one of best games of its age. play it! (well, that's just my opinion, maybe not everyone was as awstruck as i was when i first played it)

I second you Zombie Eater!
The hours I spent on my old Xbox completing the challenges, playing virus on our own Dawn of the Dead 1978 inspired mapswith my mates...) Just incredible really.
If anyone has an Xbox or PS2 and wants a set of games with depth, longevity, ad the best FPS gameplay ever (in my opinion) pick Timesplitters 2 or 3 up. They are dirt cheap now as well!

It's a shame Free Radical studios just shut down, we wont be seeing a next-gen Timesplitters sequel But yeah I agree completely, Timesplitters is a truly underrated year truly amazing FPS franchise with humour, great gameplay, design and heart. The soundtrack is phenomenal as well, I have it and listen to it regularly, "Wild West" is flat out awesome

Have FR just shut down for good?! I knew they were self developing the game and were then gonna look for a publisher, but if they're gone then I'm absolutely gutted The soundtracks are incredible thought, I agree with that!

Oh yeah, I've been playing Fallout 3 lately.
I rarely ever buy games, particularly brand new (I don't gain enjoyment from many video games anymore, and I don't have the money to burn) but I loved the first two, and a part of me even appreciated Brotherhood of Steel, so I decided to invest in it for it's lineage, apparent length and for the great reviews it's received...
It's incredible! I've only done two steps of the main storyline, but I've been playing for 15 hours so far, completed side quests and really got my teeth dug in. 15 hours over a week for me on any videogame nowadays means it has to be good by the way!
I love how the VATS system is there instead of it being fully first person shooter like the old Fallout spirit of gameplay, and can't believe the sheer scale and quality of graphics it possesses. The best part of the scale being that I've only encountered one glitch in the game, where I got locked into a piece of scenery (I just had to reload the game to fix that obviously). For a game of this size to have no bugs would require years of testing though so no big problem with that. It's rare I will call a game beautiful (Final Fantasy VII gets it!) but I'll use it here.
I'm not going to give it a proper rating until I've completed it/ran out of free time to play it, but at this level, I can see this being up there with Zombies Ate My Neighbours, Timesplitters 2, Prince of Persia Sand of Time, Final Fantasy VII and Street Fighter 2: Championship Edition as my favourite games ever.

(well, that's just my opinion, maybe not everyone was as awstruck as i was when i first played it) I agree! Loved TS 2 and Future Perfect on my PS2. I started to play games about 20 years ago or so. I've got NES, SNES, PSone, PS2 and now PS3 (yeah and PC of course). At the moment I'm playing Killzone 2 on Ps3. That game is kick ass! My fav' games (all time) are: - Final Fantasy IX (my favourite game), VI and VII - Metal Gear Solid 1 - 4 - God Of War - Tekken 3 - Time Splitters 2 and future perfect (3) - Killzone 2 - Call of Duty 4 - GTA 3, GTA VC and GTA SA (didn't like GTA4) - Pro Evolution Soccer series (not the new ones) - Chrono Trigger - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II and TMNT: Turtles in Time - Civilization 2 - Heroes of Might and Magic 3

I really wanna buy God of War: Chains of Olympus for my psp. Anyone play it? I think I'll get it no matter what cause I want the storyline plus I bet there's some nice replay value despite the fact it's a singe-player action/adventure game. Also, I really wanna upgrade, I want to play some PS3 games. I feel so behind, and not like a gamer anymore.

There's already a lot of awesome games on the market (Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet etc.) and some huge games coming sooner or later (God of war 3, Heavy Rain, InFamous, Tekken 6, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Gran Turismo 5, MAG, Uncharted 2 etc.) But I understand that Ps3 is pretty expensive system...totally worth it though.

Mine: (In no particular order[already made this list on another forum, but with descriptions as to why they're our favorite games, so I'll just copy it in ) Half-LifeThough HL2 is better in almost all ways, nothing for me can rival HL1. I'll never forget the sheer wonder and amazement I felt the first time I played it. Everything was different, the gameplay changed. You encountered such interesting and cool characters and monsters. When I first beat that game I just sat there as the credits rolled amazed at what I had just played. I play through it and one of the expansions once a year, and have just as much fun. I always seem to notice something new and cool every time I play it. Star Craft + Brood WarBest RTS ever made? Probably. Yes, according to me. Where do we begin? Everything is great about this game. The graphics still hold up to this day, the cut scenes are very cool, the voice acting is great and most of all the races are incredibly balanced. This is a game you can simply get stuck in for hours playing skirmish or through the story missions (of which there are plenty, all nicely varied). The story is surprisingly interesting, you really do want to learn how it unfolds, and it has incredibly strong characters for an RTS, they are very memorable and you're sad to see some of them go. For me it's the best RTS ever made. {b]TimeSplitters 2[/b] Best console FPS ever made. Simple as that. This is the game I've spent most time with all together. The story mode is awesome. It takes you to several different locations, on different planets, in different time periods. From the wild west in the 1800's to a siberian military base in the 1990's to a war torn alien planet in the 2200's. One of it's greatest strengths was co-op. It was immensely fun to play through the campaign with a friend. On top of that there was probably 50 hours worth of challenges and trophy matches, all incredibly varied and incredibly fun. On top of that there was multiplayer. Oh god was there multiplayer. I actually played multiplayer with my brother and a friend for en entire day, from when we woke up to when we went to bed. We only left the couch to go to the bathroom or to make sandwiches. GTA 4GTA 3 made a huge impression on me, but it was simply beaten by GTA 4. A story that rivals that of some crime films, a story of the American dream, revenge, redemption and ultimately, loss. Add to it incredibly well written dialogue and missions, with varied gameplay that's solid in every aspect, revisiting liberty city is something I find myself doing all to often. The shootouts have a gritty film feel to them as well and I find them very intense. Medieval 2: Total War + Kingdoms Expansion & Broken Crescent ModNow, the original M2 spanning europe and the holy lands, through the crusades to the mongol invasion, plus the Kingdoms expansion pack (which is really 4 expansion packs rolled into one) adding expanded campaigns for conflicts on the British isles, the baltic, the holy land and the americas and the masterfully crafted Broken Crescent mod which moves the map east to the middle east and asia with completely new factions and units and you have the best turn based RTS ever made. With all the different factions and campaigns, there's no end to how much fun you can have, changing history. S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl + Clear SkyLet me start by saying that I am an obsessive fan of the Stalker mythos, games, film and book. HUGE fan. I'll keep this one short. No games atmosphere has ever dragged me in as much as STALKERs. The Zone feels alive and you are only a part of everything going on. The most atmospheric FPS in years. The Orange BoxIt's Half-Life 2 + Episodes 1 & 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal. Want a world class adventure FPS? There you have the Half-Life 2 games. Fast paced, frantic and FUN action? Team Fortress 2. Smart, interesting puzzle solving with hilarious dialogue (No other game has made me LOL as much)? You just described Portal. It's 5 full games for the price of 1, which you can now buy for 250 kr (30$, 20£), if you don't already own it, why don't you? They're all incredibly gaming experiences! Super Mario WorldIt's super mario, on several differently themed worlds, with yoshi. 'Nuff said, one of the SNES best titles. PharaohExcellent for many of the same reasons as Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. As you have your people building a massive pyramid, in a well-managed, huge city of thousands spanning an enormous part of the map and knowing that the thriving society you see was crafted by YOU from nothing, you truly feel like a pharaoh. Condemned: Criminal OriginsWithout a doubt, one of the scariest games I've ever played, if not the scariest. An interesting story that feels like Silence Of The Lambs meets SE7EN, brutal combat, heart stopping scares and solid voice acting? It's a modern classic in my opinion, and one of the best games ever made. Crash Bandicoot WarpedI can play this game from any point in it. Just pick it up and have a ridiculous amount of fun. An excellent adventure platforming game with humour (all of Crash's different deaths are bound to make you laugh a couple times) and nice variety. Impossible not to love.
